Everyone has an idea for something they want. It
could be something that they saw in a store that was
close too, but not exactly, what they wanted. Or maybe a
picture in their head of something unique and VERY cool.
But Cameron Sinclair, one of the founders of
Architecture for Humanity, pointed out the problem
with just having an idea:
"Many ideas can change the world, but if you don't
build them they don't count"
100kGarages is all about turning ideas into something
physical, and Maker school is where you learn how. The
topics include:
Is a CNC router just a big Laser Cutter?
Design example 1: design decisions
Design example 2: working with a Fabber
What should it cost...seat-of-the-pants estimating for Makers
