Things are moving along with 100kGarages on a lot of fronts…here’s the latest news:

    • The big news is that the content is locked while the Ponoko guys work on the registration modules and the JobBoard. We’re looking forward to being REALLY live.
    • Fortunately we can keep adding Fabbers to the map while David and Derek work on the rest of the site…there are a couple of new ones this week… so if you’re not already on the map you can sign up at
    • We’re working on all kinds of resources for both Fabbers and Makers, and have started on a section of website resources for folks that don’t have a website or other presence on the web yet. You can find it at
    • There’s also a new page, aimed at Makers, that talks about designing a project and working with a Fabber. It uses LinkerLogs and CAD software as it’s example project, but the concepts are pretty universal.

This is probably only of interest to the ShopBot owners, but we’re looking into merging the Project Wizard into 100kGarages since there’s so much overlap. Our idea was always that ProjectWizard would become very 100kGarages-like (read our blog posting about it from 2006), and once the merge is completed all the projects that are currently available in Project Wizard will be available in 100kGarages for Fabbers to cut.
